Pitiful, Absolutely Pitiful

By Anna Bryant On November 16, 2012

A Minnesota teen and his family has been kicked out of his church because he was against discrimination for gay and lesbian couples and voiced his opposition to a proposed constitutional amendment that would have enshrined discrimination into his state’s Constitution.

That’s terrible, but it’s not what’s pitiful:

Thomas Peters has written an [...]

The Post that CatholicVote Deleted

By Anna Bryant On September 13, 2012

It’s clear that the site known as “CatholicVote” is anti-gay. Here’s proof. This was posted on CV’s website by one of their bloggers, but was later deleted, because it is hateful. It is reprinted here, in it’s entirety, so that everyone can see what “CatholicVote” wanted to hide:

Franciscan University of Steubenville [...]

A BRAVE Quote!

“I do not believe that the personal moral disapproval that some individuals may feel towards same-sex marriage is a valid reason to allow discrimination to continue in the 21st century.”

Let’s Repeat Some Lies!

By Anna Bryant On August 27, 2012

Over at CatholicVote this morning, their newest anti-gay crusader writer, Steve Skojec, is busy repeating some lies in order to defend his support of legalized marriage discrimination against gay and lesbian citizens.

First up is the “marriage is not a right” argument. Marriage is a right. In 1967 the Supreme Court of the [...]

The Violence That NOM Created

By Anna Bryant On August 15, 2012

It saddened me to hear that a shooting occurred today at FRC headquarters. Violence is terrible. It’s wrong. It’s exactly what the National Organization for Marriage wants.

Recently released documents from the National Organization for Marriage (NOM)  show that the organization was interested in “fanning hostility” against others and wanted to “drive a wedge” between Americans. [...]

Chick-fil-a Controvery

By Anna Bryant On July 30, 2012

I’ve been watching the controversy surrounding Chick-fil-a, and the president’s comments saying he was “guilty as charged” surrounding the companies anti-gay marriage stance. Unfortunately, what has been missed from the debate is the fact that chick-fil-a has, donated  over $5 million dollars to groups that discriminate against gays since 2003.

In order to [...]

Appeals Court to Rule in Proposition 8 Case

By Anna Bryant On February 6, 2012

A federal appeals court in California has indicated that they will rule tomorrow (Tuesday, February 07,2012) regarding the constitutionality of “Proposition 8″ which eliminated the existing right of gay and lesbian couples to marry within California. The measure has already been ruled as unconstitutional by a lower circuit court.

The appeals court will answer two [...]

Chris Christie Offers Gays the “bargain of their life”

By Anna Bryant On February 3, 2012

Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) said on Thursday that he was offering gay marriage advocates the “bargain of their life” by advocating that they should put their civil rights up to a vote and that he would help them do it.

Since anti-gay marriage fights inevitably include millions of dollars of advertisements including [...]

Washington State Senate Passes Marriage Bill

By Anna Bryant On February 2, 2012

A marriage equality bill extending marriage to same sex couples has passed the senate with a healthy margin. The final vote was 28 for with 21 against. The bill now moves on to a House subcommittee and then on to a House vote. The Governor of Washington has vowed to sign the bill to law.
